Saving starfish on the beach

Jun 30th, 2009 by Siew Kam Onn | 0

On Sunday morning, Kenneth Tan gave the children’s message. It was a story about a man who saved starfish on the beach one by one and how our individual seemingly insignificant efforts always count for something for somebody.

That was how I was getting the story until I discussed the story with Hannah.

She looked at me with a puzzled face. Clearly, she did not understand something about the story.

She asked me, ‘Why can’t the man take more starfish each time, say 4, and throw them back into the sea ? That way he can save more starfish’
