Christian education
In line with CEC’s role of providing Bible-learning opportunities for us to deepen our knowledge of God and to grow in faith, we are looking into organizing the Moore College Certificate in Theology course offered by the external studies department of the college for interested members of the congregation. Moore College is an evangelical theological college in Australia; although linked to the Anglican Diocese of Sydney, students come from, and serve in, many different denominations.
The first module, " the Bible Overview", starts in March and runs for a term of three months. If there is a large enough group from St Andrew’s then Equip ( the agent for the external studies dept of the college ) will consider sending a teacher to run the module at our church. There is a fee to be paid for each module, but sponsorship is available.
A brochure with more details can be found on the Christian Education Notice Board in the Fellowship Hall. If you are interested to explore this, we will arrange for the course administrators to do a short presentation, and to answer any questions. They would be more than happy to share their experiences too.
In order to proceed, we would need to know if there is sufficient response, so would request anyone interested to email
The cut-off date is Sunday 21st February 2010.
