SPRINGBOARD

Our new discipleship program – Springboard – continues this Tuesday, March 14. We will continue to explore the purpose and meaning of the death of Jesus on the cross. This is a great opportunity to deepen our biblical understanding and nurture our
relationship with Christ. It will include both a time of teaching and discussion, centering on the important elements of our faith and also how to share our faith. This program will consist of six different units, each lasting 5-6 weeks.
Following this six-week session, on the person and work of Jesus, we will be offering:

“God’s Amazing Story” (Elder CJ Lim),
“Prayer and Devotion” (Pastor Richard),
“Christian Service Together” (Elder Chin Chin Liew),
“Sharing the Christian Faith” (Elder SC Yong),
and “The Community of Christ” (Pastor Bob).

Each evening a meal will be offered between 6:30 and 7:30 pm. (There is no charge, but donations are welcome!)
From 7:30 – 9:00 pm we will have the teaching and discussion.
A registration table will be set up in Fellowship Hall, or you can register by calling or emailing the church office. We invite you to prayerfully consider taking part in this great opportunity go grow as followers of Jesus.

ADULT CHRISTIAN EDUCATION (ACE)

On 8th January, 2016, we will start a new series on :

“Jesus said WHAT?!”

Some things Jesus said sound bizarre or even offensive to the modern ear. Beginning Sunday morning, January 8, Pastor Mike will lead an ACE class to study some of these sayings. We will exam their context and ancient culture to better understand what Jesus was communicating to his listeners and to us. Join us at 10 a.m. You’ll be enriched!

Wishing All a Happy Christmas and a Blessed New Year!

ACE (ADULT CHRISTIAN EDUCATION )

Beginning Sunday 14th August ACE resumes with the Study of the Old Testament book of Leviticus. Leviticus begins with the people of Israel, with Moses their leader, standing around the newly-completed tabernacle overwhelmed with the glory of the Angel of the Lord who called to Moses from within the tent.
‘Leviticus’ means ‘concerning the Levites’ and as the work of the ancient Levites is explained so the prophesied work of the Great and Divine High Priest is being explained.
Come join us, and experience the joy of meeting Jesus in the Scriptures.
Venue: Room 5
Time: 9.45 – 10.45am

ACE (ADULT CHRISTIAN EDUCATION )

ACE has completed the study of Exodus and is in recess for the month of July. Classes start again in August 2016.

ACE (ADULT CHRISTIAN EDUCATION ) Study on EXODUS

The book of Exodus provides the theological framework for the rest of the Bible. Whilst Genesis sets the scene, it is Exodus that maps out the doctrinal logic of the Bible. We learn how sin has affected our relationship with God, and how the Lord bringing His people out of Egypt is a powerful prophecy of the way the Promised Messiah would rescue His people through all history from the power of sin and the evil one. Exodus teaches us about the Trinity, why Jesus died at the Feast of the Passover, and how the Tabernacle instructs us about the whole universe and the effects of sin upon it.
Come join us to learn together! Sundays at 9.45 am in Room 5.

We will resume on 3rd April with a new study: EXODUS.

“Through the Pentateuch in 70 Days”
We will be starting a study on the first five books of the Bible in the new year. It is foundational to the Word of God but is often overlooked.

When you join the class, you’ll be provided with a daily reading schedule and in just seventy days, you will read through the whole Pentateuch. Most days’ readings are just two or three chapters.
The classes led by Ps Mike Jaskilka, will begin on Sunday 10th January, 2016 at 9.45am. The format will be a mixture of short lectures and class interaction with the teacher and with each other.

In the meantime we will be handing out a Bible-reading schedule to those who are interested to follow the study.

If you are interested to participate please email elder CJ Lim at:
You may also send your questions in advance to this email address.
The time you invest in reading and attending the class will give you a deeper understanding of God himself as well as the events of the New Testament.

ADULT CHRISTIAN EDUCATION ( ACE )

As we have completed the study of Genesis, ACE will be taking a break, and will resume on 10th January next year.

ACE: EQUIP Annual Thanksgiving and Graduation Service

ACE: EQUIP Annual Thanksgiving and Graduation Service
10.00 am  on Saturday, 28th November 2015
Welcome to join us and celebrate with those who have worked hard to further their knowledge of God’s Word.

ADULT CHRISTIAN EDUCATION ( ACE )

Beginning TODAY we will be studying the Book of GENESIS – the ‘book of beginnings’. It is here we learn how the Trinitarian God of the Bible made His creation. Genesis sets the scene for
everything else in the whole Bible; we discover why humanity was created as we are, and where evil, death and suffering came from.
We meet interesting characters such as Abraham, the great man of faith in the Promised
Messiah; Jacob, the deceitful schemer until he finally trusts in the Lord, and Joseph, who lives out his faith in pressurized circumstances.
The Bible will take us through the history of the universe from beginning to end but it can also speak clearly to us about our life: Why am I here? How should I live?
Come join us Sundays 9.45-10.45am in Room 5. For more information please speak with elder Dr C.J Lim.
