As part of St Andrew’s vision and mission, it is the aim of ACE to offer the opportunity to every member and attendee of the church to study every book of the Bible over the next few years.
The Book by Book Studies is a unique DVD-based Bible study resource that is rich in content and variety, taking us through whole books at a time – revealing Jesus’ presence throughout, and enriching our understanding of God.
TODAY (13-May-2012) we will continue with the study of the Gospel of John – session 4. Though the Gospel of John has so often been used to introduce non-Christians to Christ because of its easy-to-understand language and style, there is much more to the book. The simplicity of its style conceals a complexity and depth unmatched inthe New Testament. John takes simple concepts such as light, bread and water and illuminates them with profound truths. The ten sessions cover the 21 chapters of John

As part of St Andrew’s vision and mission, it is the aim of ACE to offer the opportunity to every member and attendee of the church to study every book of the Bible over the next few years.
Do join us in the New Year ( on 15th January ) as we look at “GOD’S BIG PICTURE” – an overview of the Bible, showing how the different parts of the Bible fit together under the theme of the Kingdom of God. Following that we continue our study of the books of the Bible with EXODUS which provides the theological framework for the rest of the Bible. Whilst Genesis sets the scene, it is Exodus that maps out the doctrinal logic of the Bible. We learn how sin has affected our relationship with God, and how the Lord bringing His people out of Egypt is a powerful prophecy of the way the Promised Messiah would rescue His people through all history from the power of sin and the devil. Exodus teaches us about the Trinity, why Jesus died at the Feast of the Passover, and how the Tabernacle instructs us about the whole universe and the effects of sin upon it.

Come and join us as we study together the book of GENESIS using the “Book by Book” series – studies of whole books of the Bible which will enrich our understanding of God and deepen our relationship with Jesus. This book of beginnings sets the scene for everything else in the whole Bible. We will discover why humanity was created as we are, and where evil, death and suffering came from. We will meet interesting characters such as Abraham, the great man of faith in the Promised Messiah; Jacob the deceitful schemer until he finally trusts in the Lord, and Joseph, who lives out his faith inspite of pressure.

On 7 Aug 2011, we begin a new study "The Case For Faith" by Lee Strobel. David Lai will lead us as we investigate the toughest objections to Christianity. In his book of the same title, Strobel presents a list of eight objections that he considers to be the strongest obstacles
to the Christian faith:
Objection 1: Since Evil and Suffering Exist, A Loving God Cannot
Objection 2: Since Miracles Contradict Science, They Cannot be True
Objection 3: Evolution Explains Life, So God Isn’t Needed
Objection 4: God Isn’t Worthy if He Kills Innocent Children
Objection 5: It’s Offensive to Claim Jesus is the Only Way to God
Objection 6: A Loving God Would Never Torture People in Hell
Objection 7: Church History is Littered with Oppression and Violence
Objection 8: I Still Have Doubts, So I Can’t be a Christian
Do plan to come and join us for the study!
