Beginning 6-Mar-2011 Pastor Mike Jaskilka will lead a short series using the Lee Strobel video on "The Case for Christ" based on the book of the same title. It is an apologetics class and will cover three things:
the person of Christ,
the reliability of Scripture, and
the evidence for the resurrection of Christ.
Following the 20-min video, there will be a review then a discussion.

We are on the third session of a 6-week study of the Book of Daniel utilizing a brief"Book by Book" DVD each week with Paul Blackham and Richard Bewes. There will be a break next Sunday for Chinese New Year holidays, then the study will resume on February 13th, followed by February 20th and 27th.Daniel was taken as a youth from his friends, family and culture with thousands of other Israelites into exile. Daniel shows us how to hold onto the reality of the Lord Jesus Christ in a world that we don’t control. He shows us how to keep our true identity as citizens of the everlasting Kingdom of Heaven. Interim Pastor Ron Woodward will be teaching the classes in Room 5 from 10.00 – 10.45am
ACE is on recess until the new year. We resume on SUNDAY 16th JANUARY with a study of the Book of DANIEL ( based on the “Book by Book” series ) led by Pastor Ron Woodward.

Beginning Sunday 14th November, and the following 3 weeks, there will be a talk on the 12 Minor Prophets led by Vivian Chong.
It will cover an overview of the Prophets, their political and social background, timeline, key messages and their application for us today.
Rev Richard Tok will be giving a talk on "Infant Baptism" on 17 Oct 2010.

3rd October – Screening of "The Life of Paul"
To conclude our 6 ACE sessions on "Paul’s Missionary Journeys", we will be screening the above DVD today in Room 5 from 10.00-10.45am. All are welcome.
NEXT SUNDAY – 10th October – the ACE class will take a break. In its place will be a talk by George Elledge, Membership Convenor, on "Church Governance in St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church." It is for established members who have never attended a New Members’ Briefing Session and who would like to understand how the church is run; it is especially recommended for those who come from a non-Presbyterian background.
It will cover the Presbyterian system of church governance, and will specifically deal with the Book of Order ( BOO ), the roles of ruling elders, teaching elders, deacons and the board of managers.

The following Sunday – 17th October – Rev Richard Tok will be giving a talk on "Infant Baptism".
Beginning August 29th SC Yong will lead a six-week study, primarily from the book of Acts, on the three missionary journeys made by Paul. The teaching will be aided by a large map and some handouts. Group questions and interaction are encouraged. At the end of the six-week study, it is hoped that participants will have a better knowledge of the life and mission of St Paul as well as an appreciation about mission activities of the present age. No prior knowledge of the Book of Acts is required.

ACE resumes on Sunday 27th June with the 6-week study of the fascinating book of James, led by Jim Smith. The classes will be based on the DVD and study guide from the Book by Book series from All Souls Church in London. James challenges us with the most basic and essential realities of life, driving us to face up to the truth about following Jesus the Messiah. James gives us the truth without ornament.
