For the Philippines – by MC&O Committee

We pray for the safety, recovery, and the grief of our brothers and sisters in the Philippines who have suffered great losses caused by Typhoon Haiyan and the floods that followed. The typhoon was one of the most powerful ever recorded and the devastation it left behind was described as “absolute bedlam” by the Philippines Red cross. We pray that those who have lost their families and loved ones will find them alive and well. We pray that they will be calm, and that they will receive the physical help, food, water, clothing, and the medicine they need immediately, and that the grieving, traumatized and lost will be ministered to.
You may contribute towards our brothers and sisters in the Philippines using the special offering envelopes which can be found in the pews putting the notation “For Philippines Typhoon Victims”.
If giving cheques, please write “St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church” for payee. It will be channeled through World Vision Malaysia.

Mission Trip – Kuantan Trip on the 19th-20th October 2013

Praise be to God for a fruitful and safe journey, an enriched experience with the OA people. 19 people went for this trip ( 5 young adults). The Community Hall is built, with new toilet/bathroom, a new house for overnight missionary. Water piped from the hilltop! This trip is very encouraging, the seed of the spirit has germinated among the children and they are very responsive to the Words of God! The mission team taught the OA kids, Sunday schools, praise and worship, personal cleanliness and hygiene, dental care, medical treatment ( 3 patients), hair cuttings and sermons.

“Thank You” to everyone who had contributed in whatever way!
You all are a blessing to the OA!
