Ushers

Present ushers serving at both the 8.30am and 11.00am services are kindly requested to contact Lisa Ho by email (lisa_ho@rocketmail.com) so that she, together with Pastor Bob, may help conduct a short training session for ushers at a suitable time and date in the near future. If you have a desire to be trained and to serve as an usher, please also contact Lisa Ho or Pastor Bob about this.

The Library Committee is currently conducting an inventory. If you have borrowed books or any other reading materials from the church library and have not returned them, please return them by next Sunday to either Irene or Pastor Greg.

Meet the Elders, Deacons and Conveners

Sunday 1 April 2012.
Time: Between Worship Services.
Venue: New Fellowship Extension

We are creating an opportunity for members of the church to meet with the Elders, Deacons and Conveners. This will take place after the first service and before the second service: 9.45 -10.45 a.m. We can talk over coffee or tea on matters related to our church life. If this gets a good response it may become a regular feature to enhance the community life of SAPCKL

Briefing to New Members of SAPCKL

A briefing session has been organized on Saturday 31 March 2012 for those accepted as new members of the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Kuala Lumpur (SAPCKL). The briefing is to replace that which had been originally scheduled on 25 February 2012. It will start at 9.30 a.m. and end at around 12.30 p.m. and will be held Room 5 of the Church.  The briefing will be in 2 parts. Pastor Richard Tok will delve on the duties of church membership and Presbyterianism, while Elder Dr. C.J. Lim will cover church governance.  Those new members involved have been informed of the briefing. Any other new church members who, for one reason or the other, have not received notification of the briefing are also welcome to attend the briefing.

JOIN US IN ORGANISING 2012 CHURCH CAMP

Greetings….we are looking for young minded people to organize the forthcoming 2012 St Andrew’s Church Camp most likely to be held in September onwards this year.
We only meet once a month in between services from 10.00am to 10.50am and this Team will organize the promotions as well as activities and team building games. Amongst the ideal places we are considering are Taiping and maybe the Cameron Highlands……a team of 4 to 6 will go to scouting for a venue over a weekend in April on behalf of the Church.

Nominations Committee

Nominations are now solicited from members of the congregation for The posts of Treasurer, Deacons and a representative to the Nominations Committee.
It is envisaged that qualified and approved candidates will be voted in by the congregation during this year’s AGM, which is expected to be held in the middle of this year.
The nominations forms are available from SC Yong, Sandra Bambang, Eugene Soo, or from Adeline Joseph at the church office.

UPDATING OF CHURCH DIRECTORY

Please be informed that the church is in the process of producing a New Directory this year. If you would like to have your details to be included in the Directory , please fill up the form which will be provided in the Fellowship Hall.
This exercise will be carried out till 25 March 2012.
