Reading and Resource Centre
Do you know that the church has an abundance of materials to help you and your family grow in faith and discipleship? The Reading and Resource Centre (formerly known as the Library) is stocked with many excellent books and DVDs that can help nurture your walk with Jesus. CEC’s desire is to revitalize it so it can be more easily taken advantage of by members.
To that end, we need three or four people to help the R&R Centre Co-ordinator, Siew Lan Chang update and organize things. If you would be willing to help, please contact her @ 016-3378981, or email Or you may speak with Irene Lim.
Thank you for considering this.

Adult Christian Education ( ACE )
As part of St Andrew’s vision and mission, it is the aim of ACE to offer the opportunity to every member and attendee of the church to study every book of the Bible over the next few years.
On 5 Feb 2012 we continue our study of the books of the Bible with EXODUS which provides the theological framework for the rest of the Bible. Whilst Genesis sets the scene, it is Exodus that maps out the doctrinal logic of the Bible. We learn how sin has affected our relationship with God, and how the Lord bringing His people out of Egypt is a powerful prophecy of the way the Promised Messiah would rescue His people through all history from the power of sin and the devil. Exodus teaches us about the Trinity, why Jesus died at the Feast of the Passover, and how the Tabernacle instructs us about the whole universe and the effects of sin upon it.
The Book by Book Studies is a unique DVD-based Bible study resource that is rich in content and variety, taking us through whole books at a time – revealing Jesus’ presence throughout, and enriching our understanding of God.
See you in Room 5 from 10.00 – 10.45am
Joel Lai–update
Joel Lai, son of Elder David and Lee-Sah Lai, is settling in nicely in his new surroundings at Augartenpalais, the home of the Wiener Sängerknaben (Vienna Boys Choir). His first day with the Vienna Boys’ Choir was on 9 January 2012 when he successfully underwent his final audition. The Vienna Boys’ Choir has its own boarding school at the Augartenpalais, a baroque palace and former imperial hunting lodge in Vienna. All boys are assigned to one of the touring choirs named after 4 of Austria’s greatest composers – Joel is in the Haydn Choir. Academic lessons are taught in small groups. The school has a band, and offers extracurricular activities ranging from sports (baseball, basketball, judo, soccer, rollerblading, swimming, fencing) to attending concerts, operas, plays, musicals and movies. Joel is the first Malaysian boy to join the Vienna Boys’ Choir and is a credit to his former choir, our very own St Andrew’s Jusz Kidz Children’s Choir.
