The Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols will be held on the 5th of December 2010 at 6pm. This is an annual event where 9 readings from the Bible on the coming of the Christ-child is interspersed with carols from all over the world. The choir Cantus Musicus will be presenting the carols while readings will be delivered by various representatives of embassies from the diverse communities in Kuala Lumpur. There will be a buffet supper provided by the Fellowship Committee at the end of the service.
The International Carol Evening will be held on the First Sunday of Advent – 28th of November 2010. This is our church’s annual family event which starts at 6pm in the church sanctuary. The congregation is asked to prepare one or two Christmas carols according to their nationalities (all this is done prior to the event) and to present a sampling of each country’s Christmas songs tradition to everyone who attends that evening. In the past, we have had the Indonesians singing carols from Indonesia, the Australians and Kiwis singing their own southern hemisphere Christmas carols, the North Americans singing Frosty the Snowman, etc… you get the idea. The International Carol Evening is a fun-filled family evening to just enjoy and usher the spirit of Christmas in. Don’t miss the opportunity of sharing your country’s beloved Christmas tunes with us by participating in this event. Register your group’s interest in singing/dancing with Lisa Ho (email: / sms: 013-3806657) and join in the fun. We would also like to encourage people to bring snacks (ie. biscuits / cookies / mince pies) or finger-foods as pot-bless that are specifically from their own countries to share with each other after the evening ends at around 7.30pm .
Don’t miss out on the chance to know your neighbour better by joining in the International Carol Evening when the love of Christ and His birth binds all nations of the world together.
