Saturday, 6th December 2.00-4.00pm
This year our Sunday School will be sharing Christmas with an orphanage,
STEPPING STONES – in Taman Seputeh, Kuala Lumpur.
Our children will bring gifts to the orphanage for the children, present a few songs, and participate in games/art and crafts with them. The orphanage is in great need of groceries – parents are also encouraged to contribute.
This is an opportunity for learning that Christmas is a time for giving and sharing – as God has done through His Son, Jesus.
Parents: Kindly register your children ( and your ) participation with the Sunday School team – at the table set up in the Fellowship Hall for the purpose.
Additionally, if you would like to be involved in the planning and organization of this event, please speak to the Sunday School Coordinators.

The 2014/15 Sunday School year begins on 7th September.
Registration for the new year will take place throughout the month of August.
As some of our teachers have left for overseas postings, we are in need of more teachers and helpers. Training will be provided.
If you have a heart for sharing the gospel with children, and would like to find out more please speak to one of the above coordinators, or the Christian Education Convenor – Irene Lim.
This year’s Sunday School-led Nativity Services will take place on Sunday, 8th December.
Parents of 11.00am Sunday School children who are participating:
Please help us by helping your child learn his/her part, and reminding them to bring along their scripts to all practices – as follows:
Sun 1st Dec:
9.30am @ Fellowship Hall No.2
Sat 7th Dec:
9.00am -12noon (full -dress) in the Sanctuary
12noon -1.30pm (full -dress) in the Sanctuary (8.30am children)
Please remind your child(ren) to bring along their scripts to all the practices, and to learn and try to memorize them.
As the new Sunday School curriculum has a different format and requires more teaching and learning time, CEC are trialling for this month to have the children start classes earlier. There will be no Children’s Message slot, and the children leave for class after being prayed over. This arrangement will be reviewed after the trial period.
Each year at St Andrews we commission those who are willing and have been accepted to share in the teaching, support and Christian education of children and young people through Sunday School, and adults through the Adult Christian Education programme, and also the Home Fellowship Groups.
We are grateful to God for each one who is willing to serve in this way, appreciating the commitment of time, prayer and example that it involves.
Pastor Bob will lead those being commissioned in confessing again their faith in Jesus Christ, willingness to seek God’s help in this service, and commitment to serve the Lord in this church.
All of the congregation present will also be asked to express their willingness to support those who teach in the church in this responsibility.
We are commencing the Gospel Project for the Sunday School Preschool on 6th October 2013 and are looking for a working TV screen and/or DVD player for the project.
We would love to hear from anyone who would like to provide the TV or DVD player.
Please contact Irene ().
