WOMEN’S MINISTRY

Friday Morning Women’s Bible Study. We will start another series of bible study commencing the 12th of May 2017. Time: 10.00 to 11.30 am, Place: SAPC Fellowship Hall 2. Please come to join us for a time of discovering God’s word and learning deepen our relationship with God.
The Galatians had enjoyed the incredible freedom that Jesus gives us. However, ‘religious’ people had joined the Galatian fellowship, claiming to have deeper knowledge from the ancient Scriptures, claiming to have a bigger picture than the simple good news that they had heard. These new teachings were robbing the Galatians of their freedom and their confidence. They were falling into a kind of religious slavery, making them think more and more about their own religious efforts and leaving little room for Jesus. Paul was desperate to rescue the Galatians from this dreadful cult. Galatians shows us that the answer is to be found in Jesus, the Messiah promised and hoped for since the beginning of the world. There is freedom in Him. All fleshly categories that constrain people are blown apart by His life, death and resurrection. When we come to Jesus we find the answer to all things. He is the hope and desire of the ages and the nations.

In week one you and your group will study the city, your home now, the world that is. Week eight closes with the theme of the eternal city,
your heavenly home, the world that is to come.
In between you’ll learn how the gospel can change your heart, your community, and how you live in this world.”

WOMEN’S MINISTRY

The Women’s ministry would like to invite you to come and join us for the study of I Peter- a living hope in Christ by Jen Wilkin.
“Our inheritance through Christ is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading. In 1 Peter, a man of faith and flaws and eyewitness to the life of Christ challenges us to look beyond our current circumstances to a future inheritance. He shares his concerns on big picture issues for the early church, describes believers’ true identity in Christ, and ultimately helps readers discover what it means to experience the Living Hope they have in Christ.
Key themes of humility, submission, and identity in Christ guide the study of 1 Peter as participants are challenged to read the book in its entirety each week. 9 Sessions
We would commence on the 9th of September 2016 from 9.30 to 11.30 am. All women are welcome, especially those who are new to us and who would like an opportunity to know God’s Word deeper and fellowship with other women. Please contact Chin Chin at

Stepping Up: A Journey Through the Psalms of Ascent
by Beth Moore
Traveling pilgrims sang these psalms both on the way to the great festivals of the LORD and as key elements of the worship at those festivals. Just as a song or poem can express feelings of fear, doubt, hope, and joy, these 15 Psalms model how we can voice our own petitions and praises to our God, who is always available and ready to hear us.

WOMEN’s MINISTRY

St. Andrew’s Women’s Ministry would commence Bible study from the month of September 2015.
We will commence with a new series entitled “ Praying with Paul “ by D.A. Carson and Brian J. Tabb.

“It’s doubtful that there is any Christian who has not sometimes found it difficult to pray.
In itself this is neither surprising nor depressing: it is not surprising, because we are still pilgrims with many lessons to learn; it is not depressing, because struggling with such matters is part of the way we learn. God doesn’t demand hectic church programs and frenetic schedules; he only wants his people to know him more intimately, says author D.A. Carson.

The apostle Paul found the kind of spiritual closeness in his own fellowship with the Father that is available to all of us. Praying with Paul leads group members into the Epistles to see what Paul taught in his “school of prayer.” In 8 sessions, group members will be exposed to the priorities of prayer, a God-centered framework for prayer, and practices for a more meaningful and dynamic prayer life. Christians today can still achieve the confidence Paul enjoyed by following his life-shaping principles and searching for a deeper devotional
experience.”

The Bible study will be held every Friday morning from 10.00 to 11.30 am at SAPC Room 5. Childcare will be provided.
We would like to invite all women to come together with minds and hearts focused on learning and following God’s Word.
